Campaign Strategy

Three email variants targeting insurance decision makers from different angles: (1) the cost/efficiency play — showing how VAs save money vs. hiring in-house, (2) the pain-point play — addressing the overwhelm of daily administrative tasks, and (3) the growth play — framing VAs as a scaling strategy. Each email is designed to be personalized and sent 1:1 (not bulk), with a conversational tone appropriate for agency principals.

A/B Testing Plan

Start with Variant 1 (Cost Savings) and Variant 2 (Pain Point) in a 50/50 split across your first 100 sends. Measure open rates by subject line and reply rates by email body. After the first 100 sends, double down on the winning variant and introduce Variant 3 (Growth) as the new challenger. Each variant includes 2 alternative subject lines — test these against the primary in batches of 50.

Personalization Tips

Replace [First Name] with the contact's actual name. If you know their agency name, add a reference (e.g., "I noticed [Agency Name] has been growing..."). If you can find their state or region, localize ("agencies here in [State]"). For warmer leads (referrals, event contacts), reference the connection in the opening line. The more specific, the higher the reply rate.

Target Personas

Primary: Agency Owners / Principals — They feel the cost pressure and make hiring decisions.
Secondary: Operations Managers / Office Managers — They experience the daily pain of admin overload and influence hiring decisions.
Tertiary: Agency Partners — In larger agencies, individual partners who manage their own teams.
